Molly Vivian Huang was born of Chinese parents in Manila and completed
her early musical training in Germany. That was followed by further
studies at the Curtis Institute with the legendary Miecyslav Horszowski.
She has had an international performing career, appearing as a soloist
with numerous orchestras.
She is known for her distinguished artistry,
musical sensitivity and technically impeccable interpretations. A solo
recital given in Switzerland elicited raves from the Swiss Daily for
her" inspired pianism". Another performance review took notice of her
"delicate touch", adding that " She plays with extreme clarity and
coloration."
As an active chamber musician, Molly Vivian has performed and
collaborated with members of Bargemusic Metropolitan Opera Orchestra,
Caramoor Virtuosi, among others. She frequently hosts concerts with
musician friends in her " Molly Vivian and Friends" Series.
She has made CD recordings and made TV and radio appearances. A
passionate educator at heart, Molly Vivian often combines master classes
with here engagements. She teaches privately, adjudicates and presents
lecture-performances for organizations including MTNA, Piano
Teachers Congress of NY, Five Towns College, Suffolk Piano Teachers
Forum and APTLI.
