Gayle Martin Henry : "Pedal,

Gayle Martin Henry has had a distinguished career as a concert pianist,
achieving international prominence as the sole American laureate of the 6th
International Tchaikovsky Piano Competition in Moscow, and only the third
American woman ever to reach the finals.
In reviewing her solo Alice Tully
Hall concert at Lincoln Center, The New York Concert Review reported that
she created "a truly magical atmosphere". Other reviewers have written of "
her intense passion and deep-seated emotional response to the music".
Recent
highlights include a performance of the Beethoven "Emperor" Concerto with
the California Philharmonic in Pasadena, and Korngold's Suite for piano left
hand and Strings at the Museum of Modern Art in Fort. Worth, TX. In
October 2010, she performed the Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto #1 with the
Ridgefield Symphony in Connecticut. She has played several all- Beethoven
concerts, both on an authentic fortepianno(1807) and modern Steinway grands.
Ms Henry has appeared in performances with the Houston Symphony Orchestra,
the Moscow Radio Philharmonic, the Denver Symphony, the Minnesota Orchestra,
the Amarillo, Virginia and Battle Creek Symphony Orchestras, the Central New
Jersey Symphony and the Philharmonia Virtuosi of New York .
Additional
concerts include performances at Lincoln Center in NYC, the White House and
the Phillips Collection in Washington, D.C. and numerous other appearances
throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, Mexico, England, Austria, Poland
Israel, Russia , the Czech Republic and Mainland China. Her tour in South
America included an engagement in Buenos Aires at the Teatro Colon with the Orquesta Sinfonia Naciaonal de Artentina.
She continues here partnership with the exciting concert oboist, Gerard Reuter,
playing transcription of opera and songs ranging from Mozart to Sondheim to
Wagner , and has toured with the Dorian Quintet.
A native Texan, Gayle
Martin Henry was one of the very last students of the famous pedagogue Mme.
Rosina Lhevinne at the Juilliard School, where she was awarded the
prestigious Josef Lhevinne Prize. She holds a M.A degree form New York
University.

Steven Masi, Acclaimed as an artist of unusual sensitivity and virtuosity,
is a pianist whose playing has been described by the German press as
"magical and "thrilling" by the New York Times. He has toured world wide as
a recitalist and as a soloist with such orchestras as the New Symphony
Orchestra of London, the Atlanta Symphony, the Southwest German Radio
Orchestra, the American Symphony Orchestra and others.
His solo and chamber performances have included concerts at the Casals Festival, Aspen Music Festival, the Park City International Music Festival,
Music Festival of the Hamptons, Chattauqua Festival, Central Vermont Chamber Music Festival,
Detroit Bach Festival and the Manhattan school of Music Festival in Taiwan. He has concertized throughout North America, Europe, Asian and India.
A graduate of Juilliard, Steven was a student of Sasha Gorodnitzki and later studied with Irma Wolpe, In Germany,
he was an artist member of the Bonn Chamber Music Society. He has toured the United States with the
.Bonn Woodwind Wuintet and as a member of the Odyssey Chamber Players. He
was also a member of the Leonore Trio.
Steven has been teaching piano at the JCC Thurnauer School of Music in Tenafly,
NJ since 2003. He is a member of Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).

Laura Zaruta, music
education on "A Unique Perception in Creating Teaching that Helps Maintain
Student Interest" |
|
A dedicated and creative music educator, Laura Zaruta leads a large and
varied music education program for Roland, one of the country's largest
music retailers. Providing lesson programs for both group and private
students places her in a position to observe what is and is not
working currently for teachers. From this experience she has developed a
unique perspective in creating teaching techniques that help to maintain
student interest. This is a key factor in keeping students interested
in and enrolled in music lessons.
To prepare for her teaching career Laura earned a BM in Piano Performance from Marywood University in Scranton, PA, where she was a President Scholar and class Valedictorian.
She then continued her education by earning a MM in Piano Pedagogy from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.
In addition to her teaching responsibilities , Laura is also the organist at her church and still finds time to work as a freelance pianist.

Jeffery will talk about and play from the concerto scores which were
composed for him, or which he recorded. There is also a new trio written for
his new piano trio, Trio21. He will focus on these works:
Keith Emerson Concerto (1977)
Ellen Taaffe Zwilich: shadows (2011)
Neil Sedaka: Manhattan Intermexxo(2010)
William Bolcom: Prometheus(2012)
Jeffrey Biegie is one of today's
most revered artists, having created a multifaceted career as a pianist,
recording artist, composer and arranger. His electrifying technique and
mesmerizing touch have received critical acclaim and garners praise
worldwide. Mr. Biegel's performance to begin the 2011-2012 season include
his adaptation of pop legend Neil Sedaka's Manhattan Intermezzo for piano
and orchestra with Orchestra Kentucky, and the world premiere of Ellen
Taaffe Zwilich's Shadow for piano and orchestra with the Louisiana
Philharmonic Orchestra.
In 2010 he performed world premieres with the Pacific Symphony Orchestra: Richard Daniel-pour;s Mirrors for piano and Orchestra,
and William Bolcom's Prometheus for Piano, Orchestra and Chorus.
Mr. Biegel has created Trio21 , being joined with violinist Kinga Augustyn and cellist Robert deMaine. For their inaugural season they will perform a new Work commissioned for them by the celebrated composer Kenneth Fuchs.
Trio21 will record the new composition for an all Kenneth Fuchs project for the Naxos label.
A second-generation American, Mr. Beigel's roots are of Russian and Austrian heritage.
Until the age of 3 he was unable to hear or speak, until corrective surgery. The "reverse Beethoven
phenomenon" can explain his life in muse having only heard vibrations in his formative years.

Born in Shanghai, Ren Zhang began his piano studies at the age of four. At
twelve, he entered the Shanghai Conservatory of Music where he studied for
six years. After winning several prestigious competitions in China, Ren
Zhang furthered his studies in New York where he was a full scholarship
strdent of Solomon Milowsky and the recipient of the Elva Van Gelder
Memorial Award. Ren Zhang holds Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from
the Manhattan School of Music. Ren Zhang's artistry was recognized after a
successful New York recital debut at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall as
a Recipient of the Shura Cherkassky Award from Artists International in 1996.
Ren Zhang has been a guest artist at music festivals in Canary Island,
Spain, and has appeared in concert series and festivals across the United
States such as the Myra Hess series in Chicago and the Newport festival in
Rhode Island. Ren Zhang has also been heard at the Metropolitan Museum of
Arts as well as on WQXR Radio in New York City where he resides.
